Gordon Center & FHSA Partner to Deliver Simulation Education throughout the State
Beginning in the fall of 2014, the Gordon Center will begin offering the iSim fundamentals course in several regions of the state utilizing the regional training centers and network of FHSA. The courses will target Florida healthcare educators who want to implement or enhance the use of simulation in their educational programs and to improve their instructional skills. Special effort will be given to serving historically under-resourced disciplines in emergency medical services and nursing at Florida's state and community colleges.
The Division of Prehospital and Emergency Healthcare offers continuing education courses for healthcare providers. Learners may take part in provider classes or become an instructor and acquire ready-to-teach materials to train others in a number of curricula, including acute coronary syndromes, airway management, and Advanced Stroke Life Support.
